Kanha Shantivanam 26th July 2022

Daaji met many seekers including a group that came from Russia to attend Bhandara today.

The Future of the Human Race

When someone asked Daaji about the future of the human race, he replied, “The future generations of human beings will be angelic. Every human being inherits 22 chromosomes each from their mother and father. [Every human being has 22 pairs of numbered chromosomes and 1 pair of sex chromosomes.] This will switch to having 24 chromosomes from each parent in the future. The human beings of the future will not be dependent on food or sex, and will be 12 to 14 feet tall.”

It has been raining incessantly over the last couple of days in Kanha.

Daaji had invited seekers from Russia, who had stayed back after the Bhandara, for breakfast. They joined him with great joy at his home around 8.45 a.m., along with N.S. Nagaraja.

After breakfast, all of them gathered in Daaji’s office. Slowly, the number of seekers increased in the room, and Daaji took time to listen to each one of them patiently. Thereafter, he conducted meditation.

As Daaji came out of his office after meditation, he was greeted by another group of almost 60 seekers who had gathered in his living room. After spending some time with them, he asked Snehal Deshpande to conduct meditation for all.

Daaji rested for a while.

Giants and angels of the future

After lunch, when someone asked Daaji about the future of the human race, he replied, “The future generations of human beings will be angelic.

Correct thinking, the right understanding, and an honest approach to life

In reply to an e-mail regarding how to cultivate correct thinking, right understanding, and an honest approach to life, Daaji wrote:

“None of these can be postponed for a later day. Being honest, having correct thinking, and right understanding is for the here and now. Even relegating them to the past will make the situation very grim and sad. Imagine a person saying, ‘I was honest,’ or ‘I used to think correctly and had a great understanding!’ That would be a tragedy. Similarly, imagine relegating these great qualities to the future. Would you tolerate your loved one saying, ‘Darling, I will understand you better in the future,’ or ‘I will be honest with you two years from now?

“How to arrive at this triad of qualities? I have experienced time and again that it is when I am calm and composed that my thinking and understanding improve. When I am at peace with myself, no bad thoughts arise. Honesty is automatic in such a state of mind. A meditative mind is always aiming for evolution and hence cannot tolerate anything that would take it downward.

“A meditative mind is a key that opens most doors, and when you add love to it, it can open all doors including that of the heavens.”

At around 5.15 p.m., in spite of the rain, Daaji went for his daily rounds of the ashram. He visited both the ponds, the one near Madhuvanam and the kitchen, and checked the accumulated rainwater. On the way, he met seekers who were waiting for buses and taxis to return home after the Bhandara.

Daaji suddenly sighted an elderly woman standing in the rain and waiting for the bus. Filled with compassion, he requested one of the passing cars to drop the lady near the bus stop.

Back home, Daaji took a walk in the surrounding rainforest. He observed water stagnating in specific areas and directed the concerned team to provide an outlet for the excess water to flow. It was evident that he was very concerned about the plants due to the excessive rain.

In the night after dinner, Daaji sat in his office, browsing through photos from the late 60s and reminiscing about his days with Babuji. It was a tender moment, a fitting conclusion to the day.
